Greece took over the organization of the European Company Sport Games of 2027!
The event will take place in Athens, the first week of June 2027 and will be organized by the Hellenic Organization for Company Sport & Health, with the support of the Ministry of Sports and the Attica Region.
In the final vote that took place in Bordeaux, France, the candidacy of Athens prevailed over that of Prague, having as a “dowry” the successful organization of the respective World Games of Company Sports, in 2021.
“Greece, in the last three years, with our extroversion policies, has returned dynamically to the world map of sports, in the position it deserves. We claim big international events and we organize them successfully. The European Workplace Sports Games of 2027 will be another great opportunity for the international promotion of our country, while it will bring significant benefits. Thousands of employees from European countries will have the opportunity to get to know our upgraded sports facilities, to compete in them, to taste the Greek hospitality, to get to know our culture and the beauties of our place ” underlined the Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis.
“Greece is developing, claiming big events and emerging as a winner. During the presentation of our candidacy in Bordeaux, France, hundreds of people had the opportunity to learn about the upgrade projects of the Olympic Complex. In 2027, OAKA will be the center of another major international event “, stressed the coordinating general manager of OAKA, Konstantinos Halioris.
“The organization of the World Company Sport Games last October, in conditions of a pandemic, was an achievement. Once again, we have the opportunity to organize games that will promote Athens and our country, as well as events that will remain in the history of the world labor sports’ movement”, said the chairman of the Organizing Committee, Spyros Karavoulis.
